A little bit more about me:
Hela, pronounced “Hey-la”, is a doctoral-level clinical psychology student and an experienced student therapist. She has worked extensively with children and women supporting them through challenges such as anxiety, low mood, life transitions, and stress within cultural or family contexts. Hela has experience in providing therapy to individuals as well as groups. Having grown up in India and United States, Hela deeply values cultural diversity and strives to create a space where her clients feel genuinely understood, respected, and empowered. Her clinical passions include treating anxiety and mood disorders and delivering culturally responsive therapy.
Her doctoral research focuses on reducing mental health stigma in South Asian Indian communities and increasing help-seeking behaviors.
When she is not in the therapy room, Hela enjoys watching movies, going for a walk in nature, and talking to loved ones. Known for her genuine, compassionate, and thoughtful approach, Hela is here to support you in building a meaningful and fulfilling life with a particular focus on improving sleep and overall well-being. She speaks three languages fluently: English, Hindi, and Gujarati, and is looking forward to connecting with you.

How It Works
Step One: 15 minute Consultation Call
We'll have a brief phone chat to ensure we're a good fit and to address any questions you may have about the process.
Step Two: Your First Appointment
We’ll talk through what’s been going on with your sleep, your current routines, and any stressors or health concerns you have. We’ll take a comprehensive look at your sleep and mental health so that we can begin crafting a treatment plan tailored specifically to you.
Step Three: Your Treatment
We’ll meet regularly — usually weekly or every other week — and work together on building the tools and strategies you need to create real, lasting change in your sleep and daily life.
